I worked at Jendia Studios over the summer, creating 3D models for a video game in Blender.
I was given a single reference image and a timeline to finish the models and UVs, each in a week or less. Depending on how good the initial reference image was, I took a few more reference pictures, either real-life photos or ones from the internet.
I kept the model low-poly using several deformers and then worked on the UVs. My main goal for the UVs was to make all the sizing consistent. In the end, the product was several low-poly models produced quickly and efficiently.
